Aboriginal Artist Karl Haala has a collection of original artwork featuring Namarnkol (barramundi). The Namarnkol is one of the main food sources for the locals all year around.
Traditionally, Bininj used to spear them at billabongs, rivers and floodwaters. Today the locals go fishing with lines and modern nets, yet sometimes with spears, and they know the best fishing spots all around Kakadu. Barramundi is for many the best tucker around, mah!
