Collection: Victor Rostron

Emerging from the extremely remote Stone Country of Maningrida, in Western Arnhem Land, Victor Rostron is a multi-lingual artist, singer, songwriter, vocalist, musician and knowledge-holder for his people.

Raised by his grandfather—a traditional healer and artist—Victor was immersed in ancestral practices, learning bark painting, didgeridoo (mago) making, and ceremonial law.

His art features traditional X-ray and rarrk techniques using ochres and munyilk brushes. A long-time ranger and cultural mentor, Victor channels ancient wisdom into music and art. He manages the award-winning band Wildfire Manwurrk with his son, performing in Indigenous languages. In 2023, the band won major national awards and is now touring with iconic musician Paul Kelly.
